DPF Global ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our website visitors and customers. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information We Collect

We only collect personal information you provide to us directly:

  • Orders: full name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and the contents of your order. Credit card details are entered directly into Moneris's secure payment form and never pass through our servers (see "Payment Processing" below).
  • Contact and cleaning-quote forms: name, email, phone, and the message you send us.
  • Technical data: a strictly necessary session cookie (dpf_sess) that keeps your cart and language preference active during your visit. This cookie expires when you close your browser and is not used for advertising or tracking.

We do not currently use any third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated accordingly before any such tool is deployed.

How We Use Your Information

  • Process and ship your orders, and communicate with you about them (confirmation, shipping updates, warranty claims).
  • Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact or cleaning-quote forms.
  • Calculate applicable sales tax based on your province.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, including rate-limiting repeated payment attempts.
  • Meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payment Processing

All card payments are processed by Moneris Solutions, a PCI-DSS-certified Canadian payment processor. Your card number, expiry date, and security code are entered directly into Moneris's hosted payment form and are never received, transmitted, or stored by DPF Global's servers. We only retain the last four digits of your card and the card type for reference on your order record.

Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on the following providers to run our site; each receives only the information needed to perform its function:

  • Moneris Solutions — credit card payment processing.
  • Resend — delivery of transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping notices, replies to your inquiries).

Data Retention

We retain order-related information for as long as necessary to meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations (generally six years, per Canada Revenue Agency requirements). Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, then deleted or securely archived.

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Withdraw consent to certain uses of your information (subject to legal or contractual restrictions).
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your rights have not been respected.

Security

Our site is served exclusively over HTTPS, admin accounts are protected against repeated login attempts, and credit card data never passes through our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our site is intended for a commercial/business audience and is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
